Meet Pady
Pady is a andean bear, known by many names as Ucumari, Ukuku, Jukuku, Paulucha, Puca mate, Yura mate (in Quechua); Orran (in Yanesha); Chayu (in Aguaruna).
In Peru, habits diverse ecosystems located between the 500 msnm to where it lowers temprarily when food is scarce, and the 4,500 msnm, where rarely it is possible to be observed, preferring to live in the humid forests and of fogs located in the ecoregions of the Hight Forest and the Páramo.
The spots on the face and chest are the marks that differentiate each andean bear, they are like a "fingerprint" that, however, has generated confusion due to its various forms, leading to the belief that there is more than one kind of bear
The Andean Bear is linked to a series of legends and traditions of Andean popular culture, where it is considered a totém, a protector emblem of the tribe or of the individual person, and sometimes like ascendant or progenitor

Due to its body characteristics, similar to that of the largest primates, the Andean Bear has been included in Amazonian myths and legends as if it were "a hairy man who lives in the woods.
