Saqra Dance
Original dance of the republican period, whose participants interpret the devils and their infernal court, with their rhythmic movements are escaping from the presence of the Virgin through roofs and beautiful balconies, are imaginatively in purgatory and hell, amalgamating their religious and andean feelings. They have a fabulous costumes inspired by the multicolored rays of the sunrise of Tres Cruces Viewpoint.
The characters are the Caporal Devil, the soldiers and the "china saqra", have multicolored wigs, tight jackets and silk shorts embroidered with animal figures, adorned with beads and others, a black cloth covers the head, and wear impressive masks of plaster with different anthropomorphic figures.
They all carry artistically ornate doodles in their hands, and white gloves with long black nails. The major devil has a special dress, the dance is executed under the direction of the major devil and the heads to the compass of 8 finely coordinated movements.
